The need forharmonization in the diagnosis and scoring of GvHD has been recognized for manyyears and several other attempts have been made to improve this by the use ofelectronic tools but generally without success. This consensusstatement provides the guidance/recommendations for Indian practitionersregarding the use of OCP in women with PCOS. PCOS is one of the commonendocrinopathies encountered in gynecological/endocrine practice.The spectrum of this disorder may range from prepubertal girls with prematurepubarche, young girls with hirsutism, acneand anovulatory cycles, married women with infertility, and elderly women.Although obesity is a common feature for most PCOS patients, 'lean PCOS' alsoexists. For several years, OCPs have played an important role in the symptommanagement of PCOS women. This is due to the fact that OCPs decrease theluteinizing hormone, reduce androgen production, and increase sexhormone-binding globulin, which binds androgens. Several new formulations ofOCPs have been developed to decrease the side effects. This includes use ofless androgenic progestins and lower doses of ethinyl estradiol. Theseconsensus recommendations help the health provider to choose the right type ofOCPs, which will alleviate the symptoms with least side effects. It also givesinsight into the indications, contraindications, and concerns regarding itsshort, intermediate and long-term use...ReadMore">

Antidiabetic drugs (OADs) are increasingly prescribedto treat hyperglycaemia during pregnancy in women with gestational diabetesmellitus (GDM) or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), eventhough long-term effects on offspring are unknown. A systematic reviewsummarises the evidence of follow-up studies of randomised controlled trials(RCTs) reporting on long-term effects of prenatal exposure to OADs onoffspring.

Onthe basis of this systematic review, there is evidence suggesting increasedoffspring weight in childhood after maternal metformin use during gestation. The clinical implication of this finding remains unclear, since we do not haveevidence on whether a minor effect on weight in these metformin-exposedchildren increases their risks of metabolic diseases like obesity, insulinresistance or diabetes in adolescence and later life...ReadMore ">

Dopamine agonists (DA) are well established asfirst-line therapy for prolactinomas. These tumors express high levels ofdopamine 2 receptors (D2R), leading to the strong efficacy of DA in reducingtumor size and hormonal secretion. Other pituitary tumor subtypesexpress D2R to varying degrees, leading to an extensive body of research intopotential off-label use of DA innon-prolactinoma pituitary tumors...ReadMore">
